It began with questions about his new book: A Red Line in the Sand: Diplomacy, Strategy, and the History of Wars that Might Still Happen, before the conversation expanded to current events. Questions from the audience followed.

Richard Howells is a Harvard alumnus, having graduated with a concentration in visual studies. Prior to becoming an academic he was a print and broadcast journalist, most recently with the BBC.
