CMCI teaching fellow Dr Ricarda Vidal will be taking part in a roundtable discussion on art and translation at the Birmingham Library on 17th May. She will discuss her project Translation Games (www.translationgames.net) with artists, curators, translators and academics including Nicoline Van Harskamp, Martin Waldmeier, and Pierre-Alexis Mével.
The aim of the event is to consider the impact of working with, within and across linguistic boundaries, and alternative modes of working inter-culturally and inter-lingually in the future.
The event is free to attend, but due to size of the room places are limited. You can register here: http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/translation-zones-a-roundtable-examining-art-and-translation-tickets-24852704107?ref=ebtnebregn Registration will be open from 1.30pm for a 2.00pm start.
