It’s certainly quite a setting: Our photograph shows Wroxton Abbey, a Jacobean mansion in Oxfordshire, where CMCI’s Reader in Culture, Media and Creative Industries Dr Richard Howells gave a guest seminar to visiting American students on communications theory with a focus on semiotics.
Three English kings and one American president stayed at Wroxton during its past as a private house. Today, Wroxton is the English campus of the American Fairleigh Dickinson University, including its programme on corporate communications. Dr Howells dedicated his seminar to his business hero, Gerald Ratner.
