CMCI in the News -Again.

TV news crews jostle for the best pictures, Royal Courts of Justice
CMCI’s academic staff continue to be in demand as expert commentators on worldwide news and current affairs.

Our Head of Department, Professor Anna Reading, gave two filmed interviews on the media witnessing, news framing and impact of the “Charlie Hebdo” shootings in Paris. One was for the Associated Press and will be circulated globally, the other was for Al Jazeera’s The Listening Post for both broadcast and on-line:

Meanwhile, our Reader in Culture Media and Creative Industries, Dr Richard Howells, was live on the award-winning Nick Ferarri London breakfast show reacting to news that the BBC had submitted a highly controversial news report for the “Scoop of the Year” award from the Royal Television Society. The footage showed a police raid on the home of entertainer Sir Cliff Richard. Sir Cliff has not been charged with any offense.

CMCI is delighted that the media so regularly contact our academic staff not only for their specialist knowledge but also for their expertise in disseminating their research to the public through press and broadcasting.
