CMCI hosted the “Animation industry in Japan and China: insiders’ views” seminar on 18 March 2010. Prof. Leilei Li from Shenzhen University gave a presentation on the Chinese animation industry from the perspective of media, geography and policy. This was followed by a talk by Mr Daisuke Okeda on current issues of the anime industry in Japan. Each session raised a number of interesting questions, which led to a lively discussion of the topics. The event was moderated by CMCI lecturer Dr Hye-Kyung Lee.
